Hello. I’m Jim Kreipe, owner of Square Deal Remodeling Company. When we launched Square Deal Remodeling (SDR) in 1992, our inspiration was simple: “We can do it better.” We knew that with our talent, organizational skills, and dedication to customer satisfaction, we’d be able to grow a business built on “doing it better”.
Building a better remodeling experience
Our decision to “do it better” meant offering not only a better remodel, but a better remodeling experience. By deciding to use the design/build concept, we could offer the best possible value and customer service. We also decided to focus solely on residential remodeling work. We don’t build new homes, and we don’t do commercial work. We simply remodel homes—beautifully.
“Doing it better” works
Our happy customers give us repeat business and refer us to family or friends (see testimonial page). Our work volume has continued to grow, and our team has expanded to include 16 employees. In 2003, we moved from a rented storefront sandwiched between a tavern and a printing company to a 3-bedroom home built in 1908. In an epic three-month period, we renovated the house to include eight offices, two restrooms and one showroom, all up to our exacting standards. We recycled much of the old kitchen, stripped and re-used doors, used “green” materials and processes, and added access for our customers with disabilities.
